To the beach we go!

To the beach we go! The day was beautiful that day. The air crisp with a slight breeze. The view beautiful as we could see Maui in the distance. We are in our fourth week of weekly beach visits and we are still going strong! I relish the beach mornings that Liam and I share. It is becoming a part of our weekly rhythm. Its like he can tell. On the day that he sees me reach for his little green bucket of beach toys, when his board shorts go on, when the air smells like sunscreen... yes little boy... to the beach we go. To play with the sand, to feel it between our fingers and toes.  To listen to the waves crashing against the shore. To slip a rock or a shell into our bucket so that we can bring it home to remember.  Chores and To do lists begone with you. There are adventures to be made!

  2. What a lovely addition to your weekly routine. Its all too easy to fall into a rut of housework and just staying at home with young children and keeping things as easy as possible. Good on you for getting out there and finding your own adventures! Kelly

    1. Thank you Kelly! Kids really push you do to more don't they? The things that we want for them... I am such a homebody, especially with so many things to do... but I have to stop and remember that it is important for him to be outside. To touch things and explore and get dirty and experience. And it is a blessing being a part of those adventures with him!

  3. Hi again, I just saw your reply to my comment on your 'Stickers & Stitches' post. I wasn't sure if you would see my reply if I replied back on that old post, so I thought I'd write it here instead... No, I don't have a blog, I would like to, maybe one day... but I have recently started an instagram account. I only have a few photos of things I've made on it so far, but its a start! I'll try & send you a direct message on instagram so you can look me up that way if you like. Cheers, Kelly

    1. Hi! I must agree, he is a sandy baby. He prefers the sand more to the water. Without his daddy to hold him, he just isn't as brave with mommy to go and explore the waves. Thank you so much for stopping by and saying such wonderfully sweet things! Aloha!
